RIT's Ritchie the Tiger MascotAnyone who has been at RIT can tell you that it is a very active, innovative and unique place. I am still constantly amazed by the students, the faculty and the general environment that RIT fosters on a daily basis. I took a look around campus a few days ago to find some interesting courses and I was amazed at some of the courses offered here. Some of the innovative courses are

1) Commercializing virtual worlds
2) How to start a web business
3) Search engine marketing and analytics
4) Design thinking
5) Creative Problem Solving
6) Patterns in Poetry and Mathematics

Are there more, let me know.

RIT's saunders college of business front courtyard

RIT's saunders college of business

Yesterday, I was having a conversation with one of my brilliant colleagues Dr. Neil Hair in the front courtyard of the Saunders College of Business. At one point during the conversation we realized that we heard something like an echo. Turns out that the front of the building has a sweet spot right in the middle for making speeches. Try standing in the middle of the circle and speak normally, your voice will bounce off the short walls that border the area making it sound like an auditorium. Was this by design or just something that happened? I don’t know the answer, but it is interesting nonetheless.

Try it out and let me know.
